Change the Future
When you forgive, you in no way change the past - but you sure do change the future.
Bernard Meltzer
If you sometimes struggle with what to wear in the morning, it’s probably good you don’t come with chromatophores which are the color-changing cells used by squids, octopuses, and cuttlefishes (cephalopods) to instantly change their colors. The Smithsonian has a short article about this titled “How Octopuses and Squids Change Color ”. And it’s not only colors that these creatures can tweak about themselves. “Besides chromatophores, some cephalopods also have iridophores and leucophores. Iridophores have stacks of reflecting plates that create iridescent greens, blues, silvers and golds, while leucophores mirror back the colors of the environment, making the animal less conspicuous.”
