Inspired by Love
The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge.
Bertrand Russell
Greek prefixes and suffixes are something I’ve long forgotten about and this quote had me curious if there’s a Greek word for the love of knowledge. A bit of searching and voila, the word “Epistemophilia” comes up which means “love of knowledge”. The “philia” part is one of the Greek words for love . And the “episteme” part comes from the Greek word for knowledge . On a side note, even though those Greek words are old, they’re not as old as the oldest words in the English language which date back some 15,000 years.
