Cursed Pride
With pride, there are many curses. With humility, there come many blessings.
Ezra Taft Benson
I was looking for a tidbit about pride and came across this History article about “How the Seven Deadly Sins Began as ‘Eight Evil Thoughts’ ”. It’s a short read about the history of where the “The Seven Deadly Sins” came from (hint: “The idea of listing the vices began in the fourth century.”) What I found interesting is that pride is repeatedly described as an overarching or ruling sin over all the other vices.
