Worry Robber
Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.
Leo Buscaglia
The word sonder was coined by John Koenig in 2012 . Sonder is defined as “the profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passing in the street, has a life as complex as one’s own, which they are constantly living despite one’s personal lack of awareness of it.” And, according to the Practical Psych , “acknowledging the complexity of each individual’s life is putting yourself in their shoes. This lies at the heart of empathy which is crucial to good social skills. Empathy is also associated with personal well-being. Similarly, compassion has a positive association with psychological health.”
