We can be thankful to a friend for a few acres, or a little money; and yet for the freedom and command of the whole earth, and for the great benefits of our being, our life, health, and reason, we look upon ourselves as under no obligation.

NASA’s website has a short article that lists some neat facts about the pale blue dot we inhabit. That we live on this damp rock that floats in space around our Sun is kind of mind blowing. Speaking of our Sun, “if the Sun were as tall as a typical front door, Earth would be the size of a nickel.”
