Divine Way
Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.
Pablo Casals
Here’s a neat article from Harvard Medicine about “How Music Resonates in the Brain ” that introduces theories on the evolution of why humans dig music and its health benefits. Dr. Andrew Budson, one of the article sources, mentions the following bit on why he thinks it comes natural to tap our feet and clap to musical rhythms: “Music also lights up nearly all of the brain — including the hippocampus and amygdala, which activate emotional responses to music through memory; the limbic system, which governs pleasure, motivation, and reward; and the body’s motor system.”
