Fear of Dark
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.
Plato
Speaking of fears, the Merriam-Webster site has an article about the “14 Phobias You Probably Haven’t Heard Of ”, unless you already have one or more of these, of course. There’s a couple of interesting ones in there, including one that deals with ducks. I object to the “Ergophobia” one, though, which is a fear or aversion to work. Who hasn’t had the Sunday scaries ?
About the author
Plato (born c. 428–423 BC, died 348/347 BC) was an ancient Greek philosopher of Classical Athens who is most commonly considered the foundational thinker of the Western philosophical tradition. An innovator of the literary dialogue and dialectic forms, Plato influenced all the major areas of theoretical philosophy and practical philosophy, and was the founder of the Platonic Academy, a philosophical school in Athens where Plato taught the collection of philosophical theories that would later become known as Platonism.
