Speaking of waves, the Surfline website has a quick read on the “Mechanics of Sunset Beach ” which is a well-known surf spot in Hawaii. “It’s the stop on the Vans Triple Crown of Hawaii where the winner survives as much as out-surfs their way to victory.” Bonus points to the article for introducing a word I’ve never seen: bathymetry, or the the study of underwater depth of ocean floors, lake floors, or river floors.
