Beautiful Handwriting
Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything beautiful, for beauty is God’s handwriting.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
The International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting, IAMPETH , is an organization that “promotes excellence in penmanship” and is an amazing resource for those who appreciate beautiful handwriting. And, if you happen upon that site and get the urge to try some copperplate, ornamental script, and other forms of calligraphy, John Neal Books is a great resource for old-school writing supplies. (Neither link is an affiliate one, I just wanted to share what could be a wonderful hobby for someone.)
About the author
Ralph Waldo Emerson (May 25, 1803 – April 27, 1882), who went by his middle name Waldo, was an American essayist, lecturer, philosopher, abolitionist, and poet who led the transcendentalist movement of the mid-19th century. He was seen as a champion of individualism and a prescient critic of the countervailing pressures of society. Friedrich Nietzsche considered him “the most gifted of the Americans” and Walt Whitman referred to him as his “master”.
