Be Like the Clock
Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.
Sam Levenson
Have you ever heard the word “gnomon?” According to a kids article about sundials from Encyclopedia Britannica it’s the part of a sundial that sticks up at an angle from the dial plate.“The sloping edge of the gnomon is called the style. As the day passes, the gnomon’s shadow moves around the dial. Every hour it falls on a new hour line.” Sundials: telling time with no moving parts since 3500 BCE.
