Free Dreams
Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.
Terry Pratchett
Sleep Foundation’s article about “Dreams: Why They Happen & What They Mean ” covers what one would expect of such an article. Kind of boring albeit informative. On the other hand, Ancient Origins article about “The Oneiroi: Morpheus and His Brothers, Ancient Greek Dream Gods ” is a neat dive into the dream gods of Greek mythology. Morpheus, the god of dreams, “is said to have numerous siblings, collectively known as the Oneiroi (the Greek word for dream, incidentally, being oneiros).” If you have nightmares, blame Phobetor, who “was thought to be the bringer of nightmares.”
